Recommended Consultants
Find a Deploy Empathy-recommended consultant to help your company level up your customer understanding.
I understand that a lot of companies would love to have someone come in and run research studies or teach their staff how to interview.
People often ask me if I do consulting, but since I’m already running a software company, I don’t currently do consulting or coaching myself.
That’s why I’m happy to recommend the following:
Consultancies
- Asia Orangio, Demand Maven. Their customer-insights gathering is generally focused on a specific growth goal, such as troubleshooting an issue or GTM.
- They’ve done large-scale research projects (100+ interviews, qualitative coding, and so forth) and well as smaller projects (10-12 interviews).
- Scott Burleson, The AIM Institute. Services include training & coaching for customer interviewing and running research studies.
- Scott is also the author of The Statue in the Stone on Jobs to be Done, another good read!
- Yann Vermouth, Vendbridge
- Scott and Yann co-host the Product Quest podcast, which is worth listening to!
- The Rewired Group. Founded by JTBD legend Bob Moesta, Rewired Group conducts studies and trainings.
Individual consultants
- Andrew Askins. Andrew is a product coach and freelance product manager who conducts research along with other product management consulting work (including roadmapping and project management).
- Jessica Malnik. Jessica is a content strategy and copywriting consultant who conducts interviews as part of broader content strategy projects.
- Adrienne Barnes. Adrienne is a content marketing consultant who creates buyer personas and includes customer interviews as part of her research process for clients.
- Josh Frank. Josh is a product leadership consultant who conducts interviews as part of helping teams learn how to consistently deliver better software.
